Here are a few guidelines that can be used to prepare you for the salary discussion:
How long you have been in the role? A good rule of thumb is once you have had a tenure of 12 months or more. The results you have achieved whilst in your role – are these measurable and demonstrable? Highlight 2-3 key outcomes you have achieved and how this positively affected the organization. Feedback received on previous discussions with your manager Have you received positive feedback and acted positively to the constructive feedback? What is market rate for your current position? Do your research in terms of your position and what the market rate is.
